Eagles trounced Manisa and qualified for next year’s UEFA Cup: 5-1

Black and White exploded out of the gates and scored 4 goals in just over 10 minutes.

Nobre drew first blood with a clever header in the opening minute. Ibrahim Kas’s finish during a goal-line scrimmage put the Eagles two up 3 minutes later. Ali Tandogan took a brilliant pass from Delgado in the 7th and slid the ball past Manisaspor’s goalkeeper into the visitors net to make it 3-0 for Besiktas. Before Manisaspor got over the shock, Ibrahim Kas headed in his second goal off Delgado’s cross from the right flank to complete the scoring in the first half.

Visitors pulled one back in the 83rd to trim the deficit to 4-1. Pilip Holosko sealed the game’s fate with an injury time goal, as the Black and White cruised to a 5-1 win.

The Black and White finished regular season in the third place with 73 points and earned the right to representing the country in the UEFA cup next season.

Besiktas basketball team advances to semifinals

Besiktas Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team claims a 102-96 victory over Bandırma City representative Banvit in Game 3 of its quarterfinal playoff series and advances to semifinals with a 3-1 series lead.

Black Eagles set to face with Turk Telekom on semifinal. Because lost two matches on regular season over Turk Telekom, Besiktas starts the series 1-0 behind.

Besiktas claims a victory over Ankaragücü: 0-2

Eagle came back from the Capital with 3 points at Ankara 19 Mayis Stadium in Week 33 of TSL with goals from Delgado and Tello.

Hosts turned in a fine display of attacking football in the early going, but our goalkeeper Rüstü Recber pulled off a number of clutch saves and kept them at bay. Despite a wet pitch which made it difficult to get the ball under control, the Black and White was awarded a penalty shot after Serdar Özkan was brought down inside the box during the injury time, and Delgado put his club 1-0 in front before the teams headed into the locker room at the half.

Besiktas slowed the game down in the second half but maintained control rest of the way. A 77th minute Tello free-kick from the left flank found the back of the net after hitting the cross bar and keeper Serkan’s leg. Black Eagles cruised to 2-0 victory, raising their point tally to 70.

Besiktas basketball team finishes the season at top

Besiktas squeezed out a 95-91 victory over Casa TED Ankara Kolejliler to finish the regular season at top the table.

At the end of a 30-week marathon, Besiktas Cola Turka finished its regular games in the Beko Basketball League at top the standings with 54 points. It aims to repeat this success in the playoffs and capture the championship title at the end of the season.

Eagle cruises to a victor over Bursaspor: 3-0

The match was played at Adana 5 Ocak Stadium due to Turkish Federation’s disciplinary sanction imposed on Besiktas JK. Thousands of Besiktas fans filled the stands and cheered their team on throughout the entire game at Adana.

The Black and White made a blistering start into the game and jumped out to an early lead the 11th. Flip Holosko found unmarked Serdar Özkan inside box who drilled the ball into the left corner to make it 1-0 for Besiktas. A classy Holosko drive in the 33rd minute doubled the score, as the Eagles took a 2-0 lead going into the locker room at the half. Da Silva Bobo blasted a superb shot from the tight angle past goalkeeper in the 89th to seal the 3-0 victory.

Besiktas took breathe with away win: 1-2

Visiting Black Eagles edged past Caykur Rizespor 2-1 in Week 31 of TSL with goals from Ibrahim Kas and Delgado.

Black and White's got off to a fine start and displayed an attacking football in search of an early goal. But it was the home side which drew the first blood with 15th minute goal by Mehmet Cicek. Besiktas pressed hard to get back on level terms and Ibrahim Kas tied the score in injury time off Tello’s long-cross with a brilliant strike to end the first half.

Matias Delgado put his team in front with superb 77th minute drive from the left corner of the box. Playing solid defense, Eagles were able to fend off a late challenge from Rizespor, as they ran out 2-1 victors.

Unexpected lost at Inonu: 0-1

Black Eagles, beaten 1-0 by Genclerbirligi OFTAS on 30th week of the Turkcell Super League, are almost out of the race.

After a sluggish start, the Black and White created a few good chances in front of the net but could not take advantage of them, as the first half ended in a scoreless tie.

Game was played behind closed doors because of the disciplinary sanction imposed on Besiktas over fan behavior. Besiktas made a much better start to the second half and came close to score a goal but Nobre squandered them. Visiting GB Oftas went ahead in the 57th minute on a goal by Kadri. Eagles pressed hard for an equalizer but could not find the back of the net.
