Besiktas enjoyed success with a 3-0 victory

Eagles routed their 3rd-placed opponents Gaziantepspor 3-0 at home and were back on the league title.

Besiktas made a blistering start into the game and jumped out to an early lead on 3rd minutes. Da Silva Bobo drew first blood with a strong strike to longe-range goal kick from keeper Hakan Arikan. Eagles mounted numerous dangerous attacks to double the lead but wasted a flurry of chances and went into the locker room with one goal advantage.

Eduardo, who received a yellow card at the first half, grabbed his second and visiting Gaziantep had to carry on with 10 men from the 47th minute onwards.

The game’s balance went into the favor of the Besiktas and it took just six minutes for home side to find second goal as Nobre found unmarked Serdar Ozkan inside the box who drilled the ball into the right corner. Nobre took a brilliant pass from Zapotocny in the dying seconds and slid the ball past Gaziantep’s ex-Besiktas goalkeeper Murat Sahin into the visitor's net to make it 3-0 for Black and whites.

Besiktas took slender first leg advantage with one goal

Besiktas secured 1-0 wins against Metalist Kharkiv in the UEFA Cup 1st qualifying round 1st leg in Istanbul and emerged from their trip to Ukraine with an one goal lead advantage.

Besiktas initiated effective attacks from both wings and applied pressure on opponent’s side in search of an early lead while visiting Metalist Kharkiv kept extra men in its defense and relied on fast counter-attacks based on long balls. Black Eagles broke the deadlock on 51 minutes through Filip Holosko's clever touch in front of visitors net.

Nobre and 2nd half substitute Bobo missed golden opportunities to increase Besiktas’s advantage even further. Holosko grabbed the only goal of the game and Eagles left the field with an 1-0 victory that put them heading into the return meeting.

Scoreless game at Black Sea night

Black Eagles were held to a goalless draw at away by Trabzonspor in the 3th match day of Turkcell Super League.

Filip Holosko, Gokhan Zan and Ibrahim Toraman was not included to 18 men rooster because of they got injuried before the match.

The most of the game stages were a typical mid-field struggle by both teams. Home side implemented an effective press all over the field that prevented the Besiktas have any viable impact in the game. Black& Whites looked more offensive at the last 15 minutes but their effort could not brought more movement to their forward line. Since neither team managed to change the score the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

Young Eagles hold U21 National Team up to playoffs

Young players of Besiktas; Aydin Karabulut and Batuhan Karadeniz played key roles at UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying group games.

Turkey Under-21 team beat the Czech Republic 2-0 with two second-half goals by Aydin Karabulut to topple the Czechs from the top of group. Besiktas's 20 years old midfielder Aydin's classy moves and shot was magnificent at the first goal. Video includes Aydin's show:

Turkish national U21 football squad beat Armenian national 4-0 at the last group game and advanced to the playoffs thanks to 17 years old Besiktas striker Batuhan Karadeniz's double strike and Aydin Karabulut's 3 asists. Batuhan scored second with a fantastic bicycle kick. Video includes Batuhan's goals:

Black Eagle climb up on the title: 2-0

The second half goals from Matias Delgado and Filip Holosko gave Besiktas a 2-0 home victory and reached to the top of the Turkcell Super League.

Both teams displayed a tentative game and could not managed to score any goal at the first half. Following an impressive start of second half, Besiktas went ahead Delgado’s 50th minute cross-shot ball from the left side. Referee awarded a penalty kick at 72nd but Matias Delgado targeted the ball to goalkeeper then upper post and missed the chance to double the score. Filip Holosko sent the ball came from Bobo's long range cross into the Konyaspor net 2 minutes later.

Besiktas walked way to league title with that 2-0 win.
