Besiktas reached 34 points at the half of the season

Eagles kept up the pressure at the top of the Turkish Super Lig with a 2-1 victory at Manisaspor.

Ugur Inceman gave the hosts a 24th minute lead but Bobo equalised for Besiktas from the penalty spot shortly before the interval. The Brazilian striker then grabbed what proved to be the winner after 54 minutes.

Besiktas remain fourth after the result, but are just a point behind leaders Galatasaray. Eagles finished the half of the season with 34 points at fourth place.

Eagles took 3 points with 3 goals

Besiktas won 3-1 against visiting Ankaragücü in the 16th week of the Turkcell Super League.

Eagles set the pressure on their opponents in the early of the game. Rodrigo Tello opened the scoring with a classy free-kick in the 36th minute, then Serdar Ozkan doubled the score just before the half time and 1st half was over with 2-0 lead of Besiktas.

Visitors started the second half more attacking and header of Bebbe made the score 2-1 at 52nd minute. Besiktas managed to restore its two goal advantage on a long-range Delgado drive that bounced and past Ankaragücü goalkeeper Serkan in the 67th minute. Game ended with 3-1 score and Black eagles decreased the point difference 4 with the leader of TSL.

2007/2008 UEFA Champions League Group A final stage

Farewell to CL by loosing against Porto

Black eagles had gone for victory to Porto but they lost 2-0 and could not claw themselves off the bottom of Group A.

Opening of the game was tame,Besiktas created some promising attacks, but could not convert them to significant positions. Porto started to set pressure at last minutes of the 1th half and Gonzalez got the ball rolling with a simple finish after some poor protesting for an offside decision by goalkeeper Rustu Recber left the Besiktas goal wide open at 44th minute.

Besiktas took response and went close to equalizer with Serdar Ozkan and Edouard Cisse at just after the break. Porto doubled the lead with Quaresma at 62nd minute and game ended with 2-0 score. Home side booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League as the winners of Group A with that result while Besiktas finished the group at the bottom.

Besiktas won with Delgado

Besiktas won 1-0 at Bursa with Matias Delgado's crucial goal.
There was no permission by governorship to Besiktas fans for away support at Bursa because of animosity between fans of two teams for recent years.
Both teams played under control,there was struggle of midfield and no appreciable goal position during the match. Argentinian midfielder Matías Delgado scoring the only goal with Serdar Ozkan's intelligently pass in the 82nd minute. Eagles came off winner with valuable 3 points in hard away game at critical week of Turkcell Super League.

Besiktas lost valuable 2 points at home

Besiktas drew 1-1 at home to C.Rizespor and lost the change of decreasing the point difference to 5 with Gala which held draw as well in Turkish Super League.

Eagles attacked straight from the kick-off but created only two goal positions; Mert Nobre firing a long-range shot hit the bar and visitor’s goalkeeper Gonzales saved the shot of Captain Uzulmez in the first half.

Rize’s forward Leandro sprinted on to a pass in the 50th minute and slotted the ball under goalkeeper Rustu and set him team lead 1-0. Attacking Besiktas, which went close when young midfielder Mehmet Sedef was denied by Rize defender Suat who prevented the ball across the goal line. Matias Delgado curled a classy shot in the right-hand corner, leaving Gonzalez helpless and equalized the score in the 72nd minute.

Black Eagles could not found the winning goal in the last 20 minutes and game ended with 1-1 draw.
