Eagles win the game from 2 goals down

Our team came from two goals down to beat the Denizlispor 3-2 in a TSL match at İnonü Stadium. There were two unexpected goals in our nets by poor defending in the first 10 minute. At that point chanting of Beşiktaş fans goes louder and that forced to team to play foolhardy and Chilean leftie Rodrigo Tello reduced the score to 2-1 in the 17th minute.

Bobo scored the equalizer for Eagles in the 34th by classy passing with Nobre. Winning goal came from young winger Serdar Kurtuluş by the free-kick of Tello in the second half. Beşiktaş finished the match with 10 men after French midfielder Edouard Cisse was red-carded late in the game for mocking the referee. He won't play against Gala next week.

Besiktas lost the first CL match in the last 15 minutes

Besiktas resisted against Marseille up until the 76th minute, after having been forced to change two players before the first half was over. Julian Rodriguez scored Marseilles first goal in the 78th minute and Dibril Cisse scored the second one in the 91st.

While the scorers may not have had a busy night, referee Matteo Simone Trefoloni certainly did, handing out no less than seven yellow cards, five of them going to Marseille players.

The home side played a rough brand of football that unsettled the Besiktas side and broke up its cohesion. While the tough tackling and at times over the top physical play earned Marseille five red cards, it also helped it gain the win.

Refereeing disaster caused another goaless draw

Our Team were held to a scoreless draw by Ankaraspor, but television replays clearly showed that the Beşiktaş were robbed of victory after their clean goal in the 2nd minute of added time was unjustly canceled by referee Vedat Yüksel.

The match surely didn't disappoint the fans who went to Ankara’s 19 Mayıs Stadium to watch the game live. It was a feast of fast attacking soccer and both teams had their moments. The Eagles, the better and more desperate side, created most of the chances, but Ertuğrul Sağlam’s lads could not convert them.

Our Football Team is on the rise

According to International Football History and Statistics Federation (IFFHS), Beşiktaş moved up 42 places on international rankings thanks to the assessment of the results attained during the past year.
A total of 180.5 points enabled us to pass 42 teams and take the 32nd place. With these points Black Eagle left two of its three Champion’s League opponents behind. While Liverpool took the 7th place in IFFHS rankings, Marseille and Porto remained in the 58th and 68th places respectively.

Our Football Team and visiting Kayserispor played to a goalless draw in the 4th week of Turkcell Super League at BJK Inönü stadium.
Our new transfer, Higuain replaced compatriot Delgado in the 74th minute for its first official game. Since neither managed to change the score the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

CL group stages have been announced

The seedings for the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League group stage have been announced with the draw to be made at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
Our team will play six matches against each other on a home and away basis with Liverpool FC from England, FC Porto from Portugal and Olympique de Marseille from France.

Double Victory Celebration

Our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam made comments about double celebration. Sağlam referred to the occasion of “Victory Day” in his post-game conference, saying that the day carries a lot of meaning for them, celebrating two victories at the same time.
“You know Mustafa Kemal Atatürk led the way to victory [on Aug 26, 1922], ordering the army to attack,” said Sağlam, underlining that his team attacked as well, not relying on the result from the first game.

We are qualified for Champions League

Our Football Team qualified for the group stages of Champions League by overpowering F.C. Zurich 2-0 in the second leg of 3rd qualifying round played at BJK İnönü Stadium. Once again, it was Matias Delgado who downed FC Zurich. A former player of Swiss side Basel, the Argentine showed that he was familiar with FC Zurich's style of play, finding the net twice with two headers for Beşiktaş. Delgado was the scorer in the first leg match that ended 1-1.

Higuain Signs for Beşiktaş

Our 23-year-old Argentine transfer, Federico Higuain has signed a 3 year contract in front of press at a ceremony organized in BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities.
Regarding to his Maradona style of playing back in Argentina ‘From now on, I will be Maradona of Istanbul not Argentine,’’ Higuain said.

Our visiting Football Team grabbed 1-0 an injury time victory over Gaziantepspor in the 3rd week of Turkcell Super League. Beşiktaş's valuable 3 point goal was scored by 16 years old Batuhan in the 94th minute.
